I hereby grant and assign to the Houston Dog Bowl the non-exclusive right and permission, in respect to the original artwork that I have submitted to the Houston Dog Bowl, to use, re-use, publish, and re-publish, and otherwise reproduce, and display the same, individually or in conjunction with other original artwork, in any and all media, for any purpose whatsoever; and to use my child?s name to identify the author of the work in connection with my participation in the Houston Dog Bowl Art Contest. I hereby release and discharge the Houston Dog Bowl from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the original artwork, including without limitations any and all claims for libel or invasion of privacy. In any of the winning categories, the Houston Dog Bowl maintains the exclusive right to declare no winner and withhold prizes if no artwork of merit is found. The Houston Dog Bowl assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged artwork. The Houston Dog Bowl may sell, assign, license, or otherwise transfer all rights granted to it hereunder. I have read the foregoing and fully understand the contents thereof. This release shall be binding upon me and my heirs, legal representatives, and assigns. I further release the Houston Dog Bowl from any responsibility for injury incurred during the research or production of the original artwork.

GUIDELINES
1. Send artwork on white paper (not colored paper) and must be original work not to exceed 11?by 17? in size. Do NOT fold artwork. Acceptable media are paint, pencil, markers, ink, crayon, chalk or pastel. All entries must contain the student?s name, grade, teacher?s name, school on the back. A completed entry form must also be affixed to the back of each piece of artwork. Please attach the entry form with tape or other fixative.
2. Submissions become property of the Houston Dog Bowl. Through submission of artwork, contestants and their legal guardians grant to the Houston Dog Bowl non-exclusive reproduction and publication rights to the works submitted.
3. All entries must be postmarked by November 30, 2003. We are not responsible for entries that are late or lost in the mail. The Houston Dog Bowl cannot acknowledge receipt of entries and assumes no responsibility for any entry. Entries will not be returned. All acceptable entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges selected by the Houston Dog Bowl. They will choose the winners based on the quality, style, content, originality, and appeal of the entry. All decisions are final. Winners will be announced at the Houston Dog Bowl, Saturday, January 24, 2003 at the Houston Farm and Ranch Club, 1 Abercrombie Langham Creek, Houston, 77084 (near Bear Creek Park) between 1 ? 5 pm
4. Prizes: First, Second and Third Place prizes of $100 US Savings Bond will be awarded in three age groups?6 years old and under; 7 to 10 years old; 11 to 14 years old.
